Boston Bruins at Detroit Red Wings
- The Bruins have come away with points in all but one game against the Red Wings since the 2000-01 season (6-1-0-2). They are 3-0-0-1 in Detroit over that span.
- The Bruins have alternated wins and losses in every game this season, losing to the Rangers on Sunday, 1-0. It was the first time Boston has been shut out since March 10.
- After winning at Calgary on Saturday, the Red Wings will be looking to win back-to-back games for just the second time this season.
- Tim Thomas' 1.91 goals against average in road games is the best in the league since 2008-09 (minimum 12 GPI). While his road GAA is 1.98 this season, his mark at home is 3.21.
- Nicklas Lidstrom is the only Red Wings defenseman with a positive rating this season. While Lidstrom is +7, Detroit's other blueliners have combined for a -11 rating.
- Pavol Datsyuk has broken out of his early-season scoring slump, generating six points and a +4 rating over his last three games. He had produced just four points and a -2 rating in his first seven games of 2009-10.
